Green Hospital Food in ZDF

In honour of World Environment Day on June 5, 2025, the television channel ZDF interviewed Dr. Heidemarie Haller about the Green Hospital Food project at the University Medicine Essen as part of a report about sustainability in the health care sector.

Aside from reducing water, electricity and fossil fuels, the video shows how hospital catering can be created in a more sustainable, healthier and especially yummier way. As a side benefit, this has already enabled us to reduce the daily food waste by 40% over the past three years.
